That's the million dollar question right there Aaron. If I knew the answer to that, I wouldn't be in this mess of a life to begin with! It's like I have some sort of retard disease that kicks in whenever I walk into these places. Yet I can't stop going! I wish I could get this part of my brain removed, see a hypnotherapist or something. I just can't stop, its insane! It's just an endless cycle until something finally gives and I have nothing left. Ah well, just keep rolling.

What now? I have a gullible face if that’s what you mean!

Anyway, Danny wins! Took it back to my exhaust bloke after work last night, and he chucked it back up on the hoist and fiddled with the mounts and stuff. Much better now, heaps less vibration! It just sounds a bit poo in low speed traffic still, but that’s just cos of the centre muffler I recon. No matter, I'll just crank the stereo till the thing carbons up and hopefully sounds less hollow.

Pfft, lol, going to take more than that to make me sell this beast! Like I said, i would have just ripped the Genie out and put a stock centre muffler in. Might still do if it the note doesn't get any better.

Oh, and it looks like my whinge about fuel and all that shize is no longer! My boss got me to start my travel log this week, and already i have logged up like 190kms, which will be reimbursed at 70 cents a km. I think it was Max who said it, but it looks like I will also be getting around $500 a month back for fuel! Which means if I were to go ahead with the svi conversion, i would make my money back in less than a year!

You're probably right John, I'll most likely be breaking even at best. Bah, whatever, shit happens.

Speaking of shit happening, exhaust FAIL! The car has progressively been getting worse and worse this week since changing the exhaust. It felt a bit weird last night on the run home. Then this morning on the freeway into work, it lost its mind! It won't hold revs properly anymore, just hunts around on light to medium throttle and even on cruise control. It also started hesitating between gears, like I was running over rough road or something. Anyway, my exhaust bloke is going to swap it out for me again if I can make it over there in time after work. I'll try the factory XR8 centre to complete the XR8 system, and if that doesn't work I'll be going back to the stock single. Having a note is not worth this shit!

That's strange. I don't see how a conservative exhaust would cause that.
Make sure the Oxy sensors weren't damaged on installation maybe. Or the trans loom hasn't been melted/damaged near the y piece.

Check for fault codes, disconnect the ecu and reset the ECU (KAM) and see if that makes a difference.

I was going to say, getting fault codes would be a bit of a pain as i no longer have a flash unit. i might just go unplug the thing now, seeing as its just sitting in the garage under my office. Worth a shot I guess. Thanks Danny.

My brother has a flash tuner if you wanna check codes.

I doubt it's the exhaust causing those issues though unless the 3v's are really sensitive to exhaust changes.

Oh I'm deadly serious. Car sales ad will be up as soon as I get home. Not that it will make any difference, no one will buy it as it is anyway, I've fucked it good and proper. Bullet proof ZF my arse, that took the least amount of punishment than any of my cars! Two or three limiter bashing moments in first and its dead already? Weak as piss! I was limiter bashing the AU every time I got in it and it took it like a champ! I knew I should have kept that thing.

I think its slipping. That hesitation and vibration didn't go away by replacing the centre muffler with the stock XR8 one, and its still hunting for revs. I've reset the computer, but it didn't do shit, it still feels like a dog. Somehow I don't think just putting an XR8 cats back system would cause all this shit, so I must have fucked it hard. I didn't even thrash it that bad on GOR, plus all this shit only started after I fucked with the exhaust? Must be karma for touching it in the first place.

If the trans oil mixes with the coolant.. On Ba's the radiator fails and Bf's the remote trans cooler is known to go as well.
But it wouldn't drive for long after if it did.
The coolant header bottle will be all milky (water + oil = milkshake)

Holy shit, that sounds bad! I wouldn't be surprised, knowing my luck. I did just walk downstairs and have a quick look though, stuck my finger in the header bottle, but it just feels like water. The bottle itself is pretty filthy though, I cant even see into it. The thing got me to work ok this morning.

There is a long thin core in front of the main radiator which i assume is the trans cooler, looks stock. I'm going to try and get someone to look at it asap, it just feels like it's getting worse. Took the 19s off and put 17s on, did nothing.
