Southern Cross Stickers - Who Has Them? Thoughts?

Postby Mate » January 23rd, 2013, 11:25 am

So who has these southern cross stickers on the rear window or elsewhere?

Think I might put some up for the Australia day weekend.

What are peoples thoughts on them? Some people think they 're a bit bogan...

When I think of Southern Cross stickers/tattoo's, I think of toothless, shirtless Bogans screaming "**** Off We're Full"

Sorry Pete/Damo.

Wouldn't expect any less from a guy who has a 4 page thread dedicated just to putting stockies on his car.

At the end of the day - horses for courses, whatever floats your boat, it's your car do what you want.

Buy the stickers from an eBay seller in Hong Kong, and put them on a Japanese or Korean car for maximum Aussie Pride Street Cred.

Haha, cheers mate, I don’t have any stickers on my car and if I did it was only going to be for the weekend. I’ll put some more pictures of stockies up so I do get to a full 4 pages now though! ;) But you did read my thread on stockies, so you must have a soft spot for them too!
Did you love this tread as much as me? viewtopic.php?f=2&t=9983&p=479104&hilit=coon#p479104

Cheers guys!

Unfortunately mate the stickers on a car makes you come across as a banjo strumming, toothless hick. The way I see it if you're a proud Australian, do you need a sticker to verify it? I can't speak on account of my SC tattoo lol.. however I find wearing the Australian flag draped like a Toga as a daily apparel option works even better than the stickers!

I don't see anything wrong with them, it's no different to my black fern that invariably ends up in every car I own.

But certainly when they're combined with unit or jetpilot stickers, then on a commodore, preferably white with stockies on the back, well, nothing see bogan more than that.

But IMO no one should be vilified for being proud of where they're from, regardless of taste. Or lack thereof.

I agree ^

No one should be crucified for being patriotic however when you see a cap brim sitting up high behind the wheel, white plastic sunnies, unit stickers on a filthy rotten VS/VR commo you can't help but cringe.
