I'm a bit of a V8 Supercar Nut and i know alot of others here are, So i thought i'd be a good idea to create this thread. In this thread, First up i will post all of our Liverys & Listed Drivers/Teams for this season

And i will post race results on race weekends and also major news. As a V8 Supercar fan, this is something I'd like to do, And i know it will keep forum members upto date with all the latest V8 Supercar news! Well lets get into it!!!

I used to be a big fan but it has become boring over the past few years with a certain team thrashing the competition with two different branded shells.
I still think Redbull team will be the ones to beat this year but the COTF seems interesting and I will be tuning in to watch the first race for sure.

FUCKING SPEWING that giz is in a holden team this year so not sure who I will follow now. Most likely Winterbottom.

Anyone been/go to Bathurst? Thinking about going over this year but wondering what the accommodation is like there? Will it be packed out already? I want a hotel type room with a shower n stuff.

SBR/Erebus Motorsport are chasing Giz, Planning to put him out of a 2013 drive. Terms of his release were he was not to drive or test a V8 Supercar in 2013 and he has already signed with Techno, A pretty low move. In saying that, Techno is aligned with T8 so he should have half a chance.
There will still be accomodation at Bathurst, Personnaly me. I'd tow a Caravan up there, Park on the top of the mountain and watch the races - It's been cleaned up nowadays, More of a family event than a bunch of bogans getting drunk and lighting cars on fire. If i was going to watch a race this year - Sandown is where i'd go. Only because you can see the whole track from the Grand Stand

In terms of the Mercedes, There have been Three Teasers by Irwin Racing but no news as yet, The cars are in their final stages. Majority of Liveries should be revealed by Next Weekends Eastern Creek Pre-Season test though

Wouldn't have a clue. The Stratco Commodore that i think Kelly Racing ran a few seasons back with David Reynolds? That was also sponsered by Volvo Trucks.

Well that sucks. I was under the impression he was finishing up racing. I always liked the giz, nice young kid, keen to have a go.

According to auto action last week Mercedes were doing test on runways. THey even had pics of it .

I can't see how you can say that. Fpr were consistently qualify on top, a lot of the time 1-2. And the fact that 2/3 of the cars were holden, having 5 Ford's in the top 10 sometimes more, means it wasn't as one sided as it may of looked.

Yep the Merc was testing last week on the East Sale RAAF base. 3mins from my house :grin:

Along with Nissan. The Holden & Fords were tested a few months ago.
Sounded pretty epic!

I dont know how they got pics, its a pretty big smack for taking pictures on an air force base. Especially when there was an NDA on the testing event! I just happen to know one of the base COs.

Im not to sure about that. FPR may be the team to beat if you ask me, in saying that. We are quite out numbered though.

Erebus revealing in a few hours - In other news, Monster Energy Drink is taking legal Action against Jamie Whincup for breeching his contract. Whincup sought to exit his contract in December after 888 Signed with Red Bull. Now Whincups personal sponser is Monster and he is driving a Red Bull, all the commotion is expected to be resolved in March in the Courts but untill then, Whincup will not be seen in any Red Bull promotions.

DJR only fielded one car in this mornings 3 Hour Practice session at Eastern Creek due to Financial Difficulties - Nissan Motorsport only fielded Two of their Four Altimas, Results from the session are as follows;

Thats just ridiculous. May as well call it what it is, the Holden V8 Supercar Series.

Cant really see the blue badge anywhere near a podium this year.
