Meanwhile in Altona...

What do you guys reckon happened here? Jammed accelerator or something?

A CAR has been rammed on to the platform at Altona train station, suspending trains on the Werribee line.

Witness Joseph Gerada said he heard a loud noise before seeing a cream-coloured sedan had taken out a street light and sat perched on the elevated station platform about 5.30pm.

“It was an amazing sight,” said Mr Gerada, who lives opposite the station.

He said a Werribee-bound train approaching the platform was forced to stop before retreating towards the city.

Metro has advised commuters to allow extra travel time, with buses replacing trains between Newport and Laverton.

Prob just accelerator instead of brake. At least the bumper lines up better than new now, and I reckon the car would be fine to drive around still after it gets off the pole.

It's obvious that its a turbo EA and the combination of transbrake and sticky tyres has popped the front wheels off the deck and has got a little out of shape at launch. Happens to the best of us.

Edit: Also its a gold EA, those are notoriously unlucky

Very similar to the one at Huntingdale a few years back. That was an EB if I remember correctly, but it ended up on the track.

E-Series handling - driving like they're on rails? You're doing it wrong!
