Is it just me or is the front end a direct rip off of an E92 M3?

They do a very good job turning a turd into a precious metal.

what standards are they stuck to? just the adr stuff or?

Obviously ADR is essential but the standards which are placed on things like badges, the material used on the seats, the paint they use on the gear shitfer comes in massive books that make the budget paper look like an easy read.

At the end of the day the standards at GM (and ford) are "taxi" spec. So HSV have to abide by those same standards.

So like my earlier comment, if they didnt have to comply with all the standards you would see real leather in their cars, better paint, yadda yadda yadda.
