lost to a 4 cylinder kia

Postby stalker » February 27th, 2008, 1:53 am

ok so you guys know what i drive basicly stock ED fairmont but with new extractors, cat, 2.5 inch exhaust, mundrel bent. anyway i had some crappy ass kia wagon thing start revving his engine at me, sounded stupid as hell no exhaust or anything. anyway he got me on the take off it was clearly a manual when i started to catch up he back shifted and started pulling away, in the end we were both doing around 180 and i was still tailing the shit head, only way i got past him was to get him on a hill and my car hit the max speed (200). i couldn't believe how freaking fast that stupid car was, wasn't the best place to be racing either, if you know SA at all on south RD heading towards the city and it goes through a down hill corner, mean to be 80km/h through there but we were both pushing 160, i really need to get into a manual again. there is no way i should have lost bloody kia

Postby Commando » February 27th, 2008, 7:31 am

lol Kev!!!

So, here's a breakdown of that awesome opening post:

1) ED owner gets baited by a Kia family bus thing
2) ED owner takes the bait
3) Kia family bus thing not only stays ahead of ED, but pushes 200kph through the Adelaide hills
4) You claim the Kia family bus thing driver is the shithead...
5) You finished up with a loser flyby
6) You post your epic failure on a forum whose sole T&C rule is "don't be a dickhead"

Streetracing Kias in an n/a falcon is crazy, we all know they're monster Initial_D machines underneath the dumpy exterior. What you need to do to beat him next time is:

* search ebay for a mod chip (the +20bhp ones at least. Pay extra for one to be shipped from the UK as they're assembled better than locally-made ones)
* search ebay for a twin electric supercharger. They may sell for $500 compared to the single units being $99, but they blow more air compared to the single units and are way cheaper than a conventional supercharger
* chop your springs for better handling through those adelaide hills. Keep your standard shocks to avoid bottoming out.
* buy an intercooler to go with those electric superchargers, you don't want them blowing hot air into the engine

Good luck with your future Kia encounters

I was going to post in the private section, but fvck it, I'll post it here.

Whenever someone posts up something retarded like this, can their avatar be changed (at admin's leisure) to something simple & garish/eyecatching that states a one-liner warning for others... something like:

I POST RETARDED SHIT
OZECRUISERS FTW
MY DAD IS ALSO MY UNCLE
MY DAD SHOULD'VE SETTLED FOR A BLOWJOB
MY DAD SHOULD'VE PULLED OUT
I RACE KIAS... AND LOSE
I'M THE EXCEPTION TO SITE T&C

Such as what is found on somethingawful.com?

Banning is easier and more rewarding. Then we never have to concern ourselves with it again.

Remember syko4d?

I hardly do because we banned him and he hasnt come back. Life is good.

seriously, thats poor form.

Dont street race. The only thing you achieved is wasting petrol and increased the wear on your drivetrain. The KIA just might be a quicker car?

Its just crazy street racing, if you hurt someone else, your excuse in court, the KIA tried to blow me at the lights??

I say its good to mod your car, if you wanna know what it can do, go to a proper track and test it out. Then you will know inside what your car can do, do some research on other cars so you know what they can do and then at the lights calculate a win or a loss based on that. Maybe even tell the other driver you would have won based on your calculations. That will pee them off more than if you had street raced them and beaten them.

Ive done it before. I said to another driver, my car is good for an eleven second pass, so i dont want to have to pull your pantys down in front of decent law abiding public citizens. So be happy in your 16 second car and dont bite off more than you can chew...

the other driver called me a f*g but I just laughed at him.

What the fcuk?

Maybe even tell the other driver you would have won based on your calculations.

<VN P-plater> (revs to 3k in neutral, looks across at XR6 Hulk)
<XR6 Hulk> *quickly assesses VN* "According to my calculations, I should win. You've just theoretically lost."

That will pee them off more than if you had street raced them and beaten them.

No, they'll think you're a fag and most likely say what's on their mind.

Ive done it before. I said to another driver, my car is good for an eleven second pass, so i dont want to have to pull your pantys down in front of decent law abiding public citizens. So be happy in your 16 second car and dont bite off more than you can chew...

The other driver called me a fag

see?

Please tell me, how did you come to the conclusion that you drive an 11 second car? Was it a Kia?

Got contradiction much?

stalker, in opening post wrote:if you know SA at all on south RD heading towards the city and it goes through a down hill corner, mean to be 80km/h through there but we were both pushing 160

Just to reiterate... (EDIT: I googled the power/torque/weight figures to drive home the point further) the 118kw 221Nm 1550kg 4 cylinder FWD Kia mini-bus people-mover outhandled the RWD falcon sedan at a whopping 80kph over the design speed limit, in a hilly, windy urban environment?

How ironic, you fail to see how that makes you gay, yet you described clearly and concisely exactly how it makes you gay.
