I've seen it but its not registerable with the setup on it. It needs a mod plate unlike a factory turbo car. Better off buying something that is already turbo; ie xr6 turbo which is really cheap to find now (for under 10k you can pick up a nice one)

That's what I'd be going for if I didn't already have three falcons which one of them I'm bound to turbo lol. Its cheap and reliable power (as well as being already factory no mod plates are needed).

So what get a BA XR6 and rip the badge off?? I wanted an 80s car .. fark decisions man.. i'd actually really like a ZK/ZJ/ZL

Its easy enough man, quite easy power. There are so many guys running them on P plates. Be aware though you arn't covered insurance wise for turbo cars on P plates (unless you have an exemption). If you plan on a ZK/ZJ/ZL be aware you will not be able to easily turbo it unless you run straight gas with a gas research setup or you run an aftermarket ecu. Its not an easy procedure I'm in the process of deciding whether I might turbo my XF or not.

The other option is: read up on turboing EA-AU falcons, give it a go yourself. I plan to give it a go maybe at the start of next year (make a wish list of parts that will suit together: gt35/40 turbo, custom manifold etc). Make a realistic power goal and bear in mind that you will probably need to upgrade everything else on the car (brakes etc) if you do decide to go larger power. 220kw on low boost a falcon can handle no worries with a standard block (assuming its not stuffed). Its not rocket science if you know how to use a socket set and know where everything goes. Then it would be advised to run a j3 chip to run the car.
