VT onwards HSV had directional grooves like that, but they only went the right direction on one side...

Its pretty clear how the directional slots work. The rotor goes around with the brake pads clamped, and if there the other way around from the picture it forces hot brake gasses, dust etc up, out and away from the brakes!

Full spool n ba xr6 gear in and fmu in hanged a massive burnout at my work n drifted entire street asit was its last drive till new motor so I don't care get it tuned as it fucking loved it haha
Full spools are mint btw my car hangs hoops on a 5 cent coin

indeed, you'd want to hope your oil pressure had been good after the engine was fucked...
i killed a turbo after i spun a bearing and had no oil pressure.

Also oil pressure on engine is low but measured the flow rate of feed line j wouldn't drive it if it was gonna blow turbo as it was just rebuilt at mtq

There's a difference between flow and pressure. If there is not enough pressure the bearing won't support the shaft with oil

alright mate, if you think getting oil flow where the oil is taking the path of least resistance is the same as having flow that will sustain under pressure then good on you.

It's just like fuel pressure and flow.
Car won't start if there is no pressure. Could have plenty of flow from the pump. But at the end of the day if the reg is fucked and there is no pressure the car will be as useful as shit.

The same as oil. Plenty of flow doesn't mean good pressure where it counts. Being a mechanic I thought it would have been something covered in trade school.

I'm sorry if you think everyone here is treating you like an illiterate noob. But it's hard to argue with when people give you their experiences with things and you just throw it back at them.

How many cars have you turboed? Tuned? Sustained?

Most of the guys on this forum have had so much more experience in this field. They may not be all mechanics but they sure as he'll know what their talking about.

What I was meaning for my oil to flow threw the feed line it would need pressure right? It wouldn't flow if there was no pressure?
I said I checked the flow rate of the oil feed if it never had enough pressure I wouldn't have had the right amount of flow so what misk was saying was just because I have flow doesn't mean I have pressure but if my flow was more then enough like it is that would mean I have enough pressure so therefore my turbo is safe n won't blow up
Also misk daddy doesn't fix my mistakes is there really any need for them type of comments?

Dude, I don't understand what you're saying. One the one hand you're saying nobody offers advice but on the other you're saying everybody puts their 2 cents in?

There are heaps of people giving you advice, you're choosing not to listen to it. We have seen so many others flog their cars without a tune and have to replace motors unnecessarily, we're trying to stop you making the same mistakes others have.

You might find swapping motors fun but it's still a waste of a motor regardless.

Most people on this forum do try and help others as much as possible, because at the end of the day we all want to see reliable boosted falcons making good numbers on the dyno and running good times at the strip.

Also, pressure and flow are different but related - pressure is a measure of resistance to flow.

I guess I'm just loosing the plot I've been off work for almost 9weeks now,with a Brocken hand and I've had to live of my savings.
I guess having no money and no brains makes you act stupid haha
The car untuned is running okay but and since fmu my engine bay temps have dropped considerably so I just felt no need to tune it, until I no my situation/financial standings.
I love my car and it will be sorted out soon.
hopefully I'm back at work on the 4th of next month so shit will get done and will get done right.
if I have any promblems I'm sure ill be on hear looking/asking for help

I was checking the flow rate over 15secomds if it didn't flow enough?
it would not have enough pressure there for I have a oil pressure situation all my straw is to restricted!
That's the way I sore it at the time
Atleast I took the time to run a simple test
I could've just gone off my oil pressure gauge,I could've assumed it would be okay but instead I made sure it would be okay

Sold my barina to an old guy his happy with the car
But he said the hi beams were crap so I got him some lights

Also a/c wasn't cold enough gave it a regas
I also threw in some darkest legal window tint

I can't wait to get the xr6 it's getting the rwc work done n done things fixed should have it tomorrow all Friday arvo
