S3 AU XR8

So...


While I love my EL to death...I toyed with getting something a bit more "family" (for the future, you know)...by chance a local dealer had this for sale, and I'd had always loved the S3 XR's, and the fact that it is the 220kw engine makes it nicer. Plus, i can still be a Tickford fanboi...

I had hoped to keep the El as a project/future playtoy, but the loan (GE money...Right, kunce they are), but its up for sale...that i its self is a PITA...tire kickers, general annoyances etc...


















All was running smoothly...

Suddenly...



A busted valve spring!







So now I've got these...



And I done this while waiting for above goodies...est power increase is around 130kw@ the wheels








Just waiting on a spring compressor and a free weekend to get stuck in to the springs.


When money becomes available, hopefully some nice rims and a lowering job will find its way onto the car...

All done!


Car feels 100% better then when I first got it...perhaps the spring was on its way out the whole time...I guess new plugs and leads also help!

Next on the list:

-Clean the ABS sensors, the sensor and/or tone wheel might have some gunk on it, getting weird feed back though the pedal...
-Rear shock mounts (may as well drop it when I do that )
-Would like to put the sub and amp from the premium audio in it...sorta like the look of the original head unit and steering wheel controls...miss my iPod interface though...

Damn the S3 looks gorgeous in white! One of my brothers has a white manual S3 with leather, and it looks beutiful in person, as I'm sure yours does too mate! Not too sure about black wheels on this though, I recon the white hides them too much. Site very nice though!
