So I have to thank Josh for helping me out with my relentlessly stupid questioning on this thing! I have managed to get it running on gas again, sort of. He suggested I replace the pcv. It now runs as it did on gas when up to normal operating temp, but still won’t idle properly or start when cold. There seems to be a vacuum leak on the mixer ring. I spoke to the gas place, but there is nothing much they can do, apparently it is not upgradable.

Which means I will just rip the mixer off again and stick with my petrol as I was. Seems to still drive perfectly fine on pulp, so far getting just over 400kms to a tank. It may just see itself put up on carsales soon anyway, and me relenting and getting another B-series! :?

If he updates to a lower klm vehicle and perhaps 5 years newer how can that be a negative?
I'm onto my fourth B-series and never a major drama.

LOL!! Dave is on the money right there! Which is exactly why I shouldn't go tempting fate and giving up a car that seems to be running as well as it is. Plus the cbf factor is off the richter scale, selling and buying another car just seems like so much effort right now. I'm happy to just wait till the boss is done with his overseas trip next month and see what he says then.
I chopped a Porsche from the lights the other night, this thing can't be that slow! Although it was a Cayenne soccer mum taxi, so maybe nothing to brag about! :P

This thing is bloody emo I swear! I was planning on giving it to my mate to take into the gas place today to get the mixer looked at, because I am over paying $90 every time to fill this thing! :P Anyway, I hooked the gas back up last night in preperation, started it up to show my mate how bad it is so he can explain to the gas guy, and lo and behold the thing is acting fine on gas again!! What the actual hell? I did nothing to it, just bolted the ventruri back onto the throttle body, and its fine! Wonders never cease!

Anyway, in celebration of this, I have advertised the thing for sale! I think I want somthing auto as the city driving is only getting worse. Or maybe something smaller. No one knows how my mind works. I look forward to the comments!

LOL! Very funny Dave! Although I am pretty sure that was my first banning, so I feel like I am moving up in the world!

I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that an XR6T would put me in no better position that I am already in! I'd basically just be swapping awesome exhaust note for dose! I've been told that an XR6T would use just as much fuel as the Wheezer, and a manual one would be just as annoying in traffic. I could always buy an auto one and drive it nicely!

Oh, and as for the VE, I didn't trade it, I sold it outright because a loan for $42k was what was madness! Yes, it didn't drive as well as I would have hoped, the gearbox felt way too sloppy and it wasn't anywhere near as fast as I would have expected for a brand new car. But the ultimate decision was to not have a mortgage for a car!

Anyway, you can throw all the suggestions in the world at me, but it makes no difference if no one buys my car first! :P

Find a STOCK bfmk2 xr6 turbo with zf 6 speed, get an racq check on it and dont buy the first one you find. Keep it serviced and stock UNTIL you have the money to modify it properly.

Actually I reneg on "buy an XR6T" - you hate your wheezer's fuel consumption. And the moment you buy an XR6T it'll run a fault code known as "Evan" where you're basically like that dude in the Skittles ad where everything he touches turns to Skittles, but in your case all you need to do is exist and everything turns into explosive mexican diahorrea.

You hate small cars. You hate manuals. You hate V8 fuel consumption. You hate finicky LPG systems.

I think you have 2 Options:

1. Use public transport.
2. Buy a fvcking hipster fixie bicycle and be sure to order it with saddle bags to carry around your massive fvcking salmon fish weepy vagina flaps.

Yeah my uncles had one for a few months now, not the fastest thing in the world but certainly not the slowest, but soooo cheap to run for a big car. And in qld the rego is half the cost of my lane.

The wife wants to offload her Camry. It has a spoiler and a vee-sicks. If you close your eyes & concentrate really hard you can almost believe you're driving a car and not a motorised wheelchair when you're in the Camry. Until you start it.

Well someone give me $8k for this thing, and I will run to the actions and buy an EcoBoost! Or even an EcoLPi would be great, those things go like stink! :P

lol.

Dropping an extra $4k (loan interest not included) into a car that still has depreciation ahead of it in order to save maybe $20/week in fuel. :drinks2:

Haha, I know man, I wasn't serious! Now that the gas is behaving itself again, it will stay this way until someone buys it, or my boss says no on a company car. In which case, SVi ftw! Because, lets face it, no one is going to give me more than $6k for this thing, no matter how much I think it is worth. So not worth selling unless I get a free replacement.
