Hi everyone, thought i should introduce myself. My names Dean and i'm a panel beater from Tas.
Not much cop on the computer side of things but have it's the best place for good info.
I have 2 e-series cars, a 98 el sapphire wagon and a 92 eb xr6.
The xr6 is auto and i was wondering if i was to change it to manual are the xr6 gearbox ratios the same as standard?
cheers

hey mate, with the manual conversion, the ratio's will not be the same as on an auto, it will be lower then normal, making it faster of the line etc, its one of the best things you can do.. well worth the money..

pics will be coming as soon as i get my A into G!
regarding the xr6 gearbox swap, does anyone think i should leave it auto for originality sake?
i've got plenty of other toys to play around with.

Well depends what you plan to do with it if its just a toy too def go for the manuel, if its something you plan to turbo or SC or do up at all again go manuel.
if its your daily drive and you feel lazy keep the auto. but the manuel will always be the quicker option as far as preformance goes. and as for the original argument eehh Manuel all the way if you have that option i reakon... (I can talk mine hardly gets driven and shes auto/ lazy s.o.b  )
