Hey guys,

So after a long time being on these forums and not being particularly active, I figured probably best to introduce myself. My name is Angel, and im 17 (in Vic too, so I'm still on Ls). Atm, I'm doing Year 12 VCE at RMIT in the city. I live in Noble Park.

Here's what is making me bankrupt oh-so-often:




It's my EX- 3.9multipoint, 4.0L EB Falcon S...5spd. It has been uhh...lowered, fitted with a sports exhaust, tinted windows, and half a new sound system (I've replaced the headunit and rear speakers). Keep in mind, the stuff apart from the sound-related mods I haven't done, it was the previous owner.

Naturally from here, I don't know what else to do to the car. I want to finish the sound system and fix the sagging roof lining, but other than that...any suggestions? Preferably something that wont be illegal on P plates..or if it is something like that, maybe subtle like extractors or...the like.

.. anyway nice car and welcome. sadly my car is also afflicted with the dreaded sagging roof lining. common eb problem. ive just learnt to live with it because if i replace it, will probably do the same thing again knowin my luck. im also to stingy to pay a trimmer. As long as its not touchin ur noggin while u drive, just live with it i say

Anyway Angel, a good way to repair your roof lining is to carefully remove all the plastic trimming around the edges except for the rearmost trim above the back window, get the lining off around the lights (main roof light & courtesy lights if your car came equipped with them) and peel back the lining all the way to the rearmost trim.

Have a can of spray-on-adhesive (think superglue in a can) and spray a line about 1-2 inches from the edge of the rearmost trim. Quickly press the rooflining back into place, kneading out any wrinkles. Repeat the process a brazillian times until you get to your (front) windscreen. My main suggestions are A) do it with the doors open and B) maybe wear a mask, because the adhesive shit is pretty strong!

Haha, well this happens every time I introduce myself . Angel was my grandfather's middle name, and both my parents were Chilean (if you don't know where Chile is, an atlas or even google is your friend in this case), and well...different customs = different common names. When I was living there, it was so confusing hearing my name being called out from everywhere!

As for the roof lining..yeah it is down to head level, and that's even being restrained by a pin! I took the pin out as well as all the interior lights, and...I'd say the situation to fix the roof lining has become a necessity.

At the front, it's only the roof lining sagging, but at the back, it seems the brown stuff above the roof lining (in between the metal of the roof and the lining) is also sagging, if not snapped. What can I do in this case? I'm not worried if I **** it up because the worst case is that I send the car off to a pro who can fix it properly.

Spray adhesive is first on my list regardless, the roof sagging isn't so bad at the back.

Dont buy cheap $2 cans of spray on adhesive... get some from jaycar electronics or something.
When I was building a set of speakers a few years ago, I bought 1 can from jaycar costing about $20 and thought that can would be enough, but it wasnt so I went and got some $2 stuff to hold the special tuff carpet onto the speaker box, it didnt hold the carpet on, so I had to buy another expensive can... you get what you pay for.

you'll be right then with the spray adhesive. It's not a permanent fix but it may make the roof lining fine for another 12-24 months (if not longer)

First mods as everyone will tell you is lower it, exhaust and mags. I have an EB and it looks muuuccchh better on super lows
