Who turned their lights off at 8pm?

Postby Malakai » March 29th, 2008, 8:21 pm

http://www.earthhour.org

Don't bother clicking on the above link at the moment because I think the server and dial-up connection in Nimbin that hosts the site is being overrun with attempted visitors.

If you don't know what I'm talking about it's something to do with everyone turning their lights off for an hour at 8pm tonight.

Ba-humbug!

Didnt turn them off. Mainly because all of the ones that are usually on are those energy saver ones.

^^^ exactly, Earth Hour wouldn't work. Earth Day wouldn't work. Maybe something like Earth Forever would work, with cars & faptops powered by sunshine & hippie blood

I should get a dynamo (look it up) installed on my faptop, that's all I need... and an internet connection and a wireless router and just one light to see what I'm doing and a car to get to and from work and... oh crap there goes my plans to be environmentally friendly.

Didnt turn mine off. Wonder if they thought about fluroescent globes.. They power required to start them up is enough to run them for 24hrs. Do more damage to the environment turning them off then back on again...
