Ellery VS Gregorys, who wins?

Postby speed.freak » April 13th, 2008, 2:11 pm

going to purchase a workshop manual soon to aid in car related things but not sure as to which one i should buy. max ellery or gregorys manual, which one do you have/use? and why that peritcular one? any help would be good, as they arent the cheapest things ( 50-60 bucks for a book seems rather steep, but i suppose its worth it)

thanks

I'd say neither.

Genuine Ford only.

Genuine Ford manual for sure.
EA-ED one will run around $150 or so, EF-EL one is around $250.
That sounds like a lot, but it covers everything in immense detail, far more than in the ellerys or gregorys books.

Most technical book shops can source them, Wheels of Time in Dandenong sell them, or online http://www.pitstop.net.au
I've used both. :)

Probably the Ford ones are the best, but I have an Ellery's one and it has helped me plenty. Gregory's FTL me thinks.

Yeah they are. Check out ebay though, that's where I got mine. Saved plenty, got it for around maybe...$25bucks in great condition. Postage was extra though :P

I have a Gregory's manual and a genuine Ford. I have not had a Max Ellery so I can't compare but I would go for Genuine Ford as I use it more than the Gregory and seems to be more user friendly and easier to understand.
