Group Buy Scat H beam rods

Postby Gunns » April 15th, 2008, 8:57 am

Ok the deal is I am able to get BA scat H beam rods for $750 a set
The rods are rated at over 200hp per rod and come with ARP conecting bolts.
These will bolt straight up to your AU to EA crank and you will need a coustom piston to suit.
This is fu(king cheap as you would pay $1200 for argo H beam rods.
Want at least 6 people to get the group buy to go ahead.

only 100hp per rod... what rods does TUFED6 have? I thought he had some superfangdangle 200hp/cyl rods...

when do you have to have the money buy... Depending on that, I am interested. I am sure Rollin is too.

A BA piston with a OHC valve releaf cut in it. Or a piston with the pin hight of a BA, with the valve releaf for a OHC head, choose what dish you want and how high or low you want your ring lands set.

Coustom pistons are around $1000

Yes they will

Rods and pistons would be $1750ish + bearings and rings, so you you should get a full short motor rebuild for $2500 once you buy gaskets etc.....

i would have presumed you could have used au pistons with au rods in an e-series block... they just change the gudgen pin height and the rod length. so its the same length from the crank to the top of the piston if you catch my drift.

Thats what I thought, I was told the eseries deck height was to low and the piston would not clear the deck, and after talking to a engine builder at has done this a few times he said that if you run a BA rod and piston in a eseries block it will come under the deck by a few thou.

So you can run a BA / AU rods and pistons in a eseries engine, but can't run eseries piston and rod in a AU engine.

Tell me about it! Just when I think, right, there isn't anything I really need to buy for a bit, I'll save some cash and maybe eat something other than two minute noodles for a bit....and now some kent has to go set up a group buy of rods I want :(

1 month away? Dammit. BRB. I'm going to buy some more 2 minute noodles :(

Look at your car. Now back to mine. Now back to yours. Now back to mine. Sadly, yours isn't mine. But if you stopped buying dodgy cars and bought an ED, yours could be like mine. Look down. Back up. Where are you? ...You're on BoostedFalcon, reading the signature your signature could be like! Anything is possible when your car looks like my car... I'm on a computer.
