Performance Ford Masters - Feedback & Pics

Postby pHaT`eL » April 19th, 2008, 8:36 pm

Well, Beth and I are pretty buggered - 4.30am wake up!!! Just uploaded my pics from the day.

Display turned out pretty good, shame someone decided to ditch us and go park by himself though. Alot of planning goes on behind the scenes, we accomodated for a late entry and had it thrown in our face in the end. Very frustrating!!

Congrats to Kevin who won best EA-EL for the ORSM Club with his EF Futura (EVILEF) looked schmick as!!

Also a congrats to Paul (v8capri) driving BROCKYB8's EA who took out the Go-To-Whoa against a pretty serious XT Falcon.

In all there were about 10 E-Series there, all well known to us, and majority looking 150%!!

Anyway, enough of the novel, heres the pics.

Bra'd up and sexy..

All in all was a very good day the display looked great with the boards pete made , brockys car went home with a trophy and he went home with some bar stools
Everyone got a little bit sunburnt (sean is the worst) got the canopy up with just us girls doing it which was a good effort :D

The day was a little bit on the small side but for the late notice venue change it wasnt a bad

EDIT* thought i would add the phone call i got from MAX (SLOLS1) at like 4.30 asking if we were still there coz him and pat were coming, they had left about lunch time missed the turn off and were a hour and half away in BENDIGO LOL

Pete, well done for organising everything today :)

There were some pretty tough cars there. Spewing I didn't enter any of the driving events :(

EVILEF was a very deserving winner of the best EA-EL, it was simply mint and so well presented.

Good day. I am burnt as shit though and fucking tired. :P

Congrats to Brocky. Everyone's cars looked good. And yes, bit disappointing about someone who decided not to show with us but oh well.

Small turnout, but my first time seeing any drags, so I found it interesting.

Drags are great hey Braiden! My first time was at the Bairnsdale 1/8 mile, definitely will never forget that time. Or the HQ that fired up while I was walking past it, & crapped my pants in fright

Great work with the plaque thingies Pete!

LOL are you serious..... you sooked about coming and wanting to display with us, so we organise accordingly, then you rock up we have a spot for you come over and tell you how we are all parking and how you should park you nod, agree and then drive off. You tell other people the reason why you arent displaying with us was because 'WE' are jealous of your car.

And FYI we were entered in the show and shine as well ......seriously dude WTF

lol, I had a similar experience on Saturday with a car firing up near me. The 6000hp or whatever it was car fired up, then revved up and I jumped. And I was a good 50 meters away! :P

But yeah, I was never a fan of the idea of them, but after going, it has definantly changed my mind! :D

Im sorry you feel that way Mick. We were happy to have you displaying with us at late notice, and were keen to put you in as centre of the display. Have fun with the ORSM club. Hope there mature enough for you.

Also, I forgot to thank Mark (Bomber) who initially organised the display.. Cheers :)

Thanks for the comments about the display boards too. If others put in the time and effort, we can make our club a winner. More on that later :)

Sounds like no one had a problem but you? I wasn't even there and I can tell from what other people are saying here you made things more difficult than they had to be.

If you wanted to go park somewhere else why not just be honest about it... they would have been a bit disappointed, but not as much as they are now.

Why should everyone chase you up GM-KILA? I wouldn't have. It would have been normal to presume that you wanted to park somewhere else, for whatever reason. If you wern't sure on things, why didn't you ask again? Many people (myself included) are quite happy to have you as part of the club, however I doubt anyone is going to plead with you to be part of it. And look at it this way. Being on the end, there's nothing blocking a clear side-on view of the car.

Looks like it was a good day, bit of a shame that it was moved, 1/8th mile racing just isn't quite the same. The display boards look tops as well!

Seriously, who gives a **** even if you were put at the end. I guess the display would revolve around you... Which from what everyone has said, you weren't going to be put down the end anyway. So why on earth did you ask to be put in with the club on this day, if you just go and **** off anyway? Why not just rock up and park where you did?
I mean I wouldn't give a rats ass where my car gets parked in a display. They're all visible, and other people should get the chance to park in a good spot sometimes.

Is all this pent up hostility still stemming from when a few guys said your plates didn't suit the car?

Looked like a good display anyway guys! Too bad the XR is in QLD, otherwise i may have been up for this!
PS. Whereabouts was it held? I was trying to think how Max ended up in Bendigo!!!
