Get a good gearbox - A built Auto would be the cheapest option -
Get a turbo kit of some description
get a lokka
get a a tunable ecu
get some strong rods and pistons to suit
get the head flowed and a nice cam - some valve springs
and get it tuned -

+1 for buy an xr6t can pick them up for 20 grand these days in good condition.

or at least something better then an eb gli dont care how much you like it cause its been in the family. its just not worth spending money on.
i learnt the hard way like alot of people i spose.

Id much rather a smooth driving, reliable, easy power XR6T over an NA EB. Small mods on the BA have huge increases.

Airbags + XR6T engine, who cares how old the car is, if you want to do a EB up, do it.

Unless...

Spend 5 grand on the EB, put the 10 grand you have left into a bank with good intrest returns, and in 2-3 years time buy a second hand BF F6, or use it to secure a loan on FG G6E or XR6 Turbo

had a look at a few ba xt falcons they all seem to be going at around ten for a not to shabby ones but no matter wot ill dont think ill sell the eb wouldnt get much for it anyways just keep it in the shed, thats one option the other is if i go all out on it with a vct, mmm kit, 20's, turbo and a new paint job

being 16 im not looking at buying a house just yet
