Where to get the adjusters for Koni shocks

Postby private9 » April 27th, 2008, 9:41 pm

Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anyone knows where to get the adjusters for Koni shocks from, or if anyone has any they'd like to sell?

They were on ebay a while back, but haven't seen any around for a quite a while.

Thanks,

Justin.

thanks Wayne, that's the one! I just did a search too, so dunno how I managed to miss this! Preferably I'd like a pair, but I guess it doesn't really matter, as I don't think they can be adjusted on the car anyway.

That's for the yellows only isn't it? If so, they can be adjusted on the car, and you can just use a small shifter instead. The reds have to be adjusted off car, but they don't need a tool, you just take the bump stops out, compress them the whole way then turn the shafts to adjust the stiffness...

Thanks Rollin, yeah it's for the yellows. So no need for the adjusters then, and even better that they can be adjusted on the car, yay!

I've got a spare adjuster somewhere, but they're a soft plastic so it just gets rounded out anyway.

Yeah they do - I think maybe so people can't go overboard and wind the adjusters far enough to damage the shocks.

private9 - be gentle when you adjust them - I think there are only 3 or less turns from full hard to full soft, so make sure you go carefully and don't just screw the bastards up tight and kill them.

Thanks for the advice guys, much appreciated!

I'll keep an eye out on ebay, but it sounds like I don't really need them anyway, so no biggie. They're not going in till I fit the rest of my suspension anyway, so I can wait.

Oh, and Rollin I'm always gentle... at the start!

Yeah man, lanky is busy as a one-armed brick layer in bhagdad atm, he has the springs, I have spring compressors(allegedly - I can't find the bloody things!!), but we haven't been able to get them in the same place at the same time yet :S

He dropped them round tonight, I'll take them to work tomorrow, get the springs off, then he is going to pick them up at some stage and post them for you.

Far too much effort! Atm I'm spending all the time I can on Gozzas car so I can take it to willowbank and do a few 11z :P

OED has your springless shocks in his car as I type this, he should be sending them off soon.
