106mph should give ~4500rpm in 3rd with 3.27s. Presuming you run 106mph again, you'll be at around 5700rpm.

it will rev to abut 6500 ish

but i can feel most of the power band dying around 5900-6000

so i shift it at 6 grand normall.

i jsut cant get it to take off hard with out spinning tyres.

my mates ba xr6 turbo (stock) got about 5 car lengths infront of me cause i was sideways before i caught him and passed him

what ecu is it running? (or) does it have a chip or something to eliminate the fuel cut-out?

7000rpm!

Well, I guess it's certainly capable of staying in 3rd across the line with 4.11s then, even though 106mph would still give you 500rpm of space with the stock cutout :o

ROFL @ 7000rpm with stock lifters. Sure the monster tacho isn't hooked up for a 6cyl? With a 1/2 decent cam, 6000 is pretty much the limit, the valvetrain would be running amok like preschool kids on acid much over that.

PS Thanks for the quote Jared :P

Ahh my bad. From reading your thread, it seemed like the motor hadn't been rebuilt since you bought it, and you were planning to.

Wouldn't mind seeing a timeslip because last time I drove it, it was no 106MPH car and i friggen mauled it, i've also been in Dans EB turbo which ran a 106MPH (IIRC) and that was at least 1 full second faster minimum.

Did you rebuild the motor or something?

Bonnet gauges look pretty cool.

na motor was built ages ago.

i "fixed" the motor. it was set up all wrong.

maf was callibrated for bigger injectors and a blower. changed that to standard maf and standard injectors. the spark leads were stuffed and tightly cable tied together so i put bigger leads on it. manifold was leaking. jeez heaps of problems.

not sure how it was when sunny had it, but it had a very minor head gasket failure leaking water into cylinders wich i have since replaced, got the heads shaved. i also got them ported and polished and flow alot better then previous build i think.

auto had a good service and got tricked up a bit more.

when i first got it, it was pice of shit, had good days and bad days. once i sorted the fuel issues and got it tuned after fixing heaps of stuff ran heaps better.

Interesting, you claim to know so much about cars but can't hook a water temp gauge up? Or are you looking for a way to hook the water temp up to measure another temperature?

You need to remember that your car has been owned by a lot of club members in the past, we know a lot more history on it than you may think. Pitty you missed out on the 9" that was in it, for starters.

You've proven several times now that everything you say must be right, yet many times it has been proven otherwise, that is why people have a hard time believing you, and want some actual proof.

Where abouts did you run the 13sec pass? I thought that was at dragtag, not an actual dragstrip? Correct me if I'm wrong on that.

i know how to hook it up i was just after some tips and advice cause i thought thats what we do here, help people with ideas and mods to their cars.

i do remember that very well i also remember that the car has never gone harder then it does now, might not look the best but definetly goes alot harder.

yes i know i missed out on the 9", i still got a bargain so im not sure what your point is there. 9" is over kill for my horse power any how.

how have i proven several times that everything i say has to be right ?

and end of the day i dont care what people believe, i know what my car is doing while i am driving it and thats all the proof i need.

13.7 was at calder, i did burnouts at drag tag.

i did the virtual drag tag race but stuffed it up, its really crap i went to early or some shit, its not very realistic either.
