Happens to me as well, and it's bloody annoying.

I'm a tough knt now though so it doesn't bother me as much anymore.

I'm not sure if this will work, but have a geeze anyway:
Go into the User Control Panel at the top of the forum screen
Click on 'Board Preferences' tab
Click on the 'Edit display options' tab
Press the 'Reset' button
Make sure the 'Display topics ordering by:' is set to 'Post time'
And finally make sure the 'Display topic order direction:' to 'Descending'

If not, I dunno!

Or you could post in the phpBB forums if you're that desperate!!

I think it has more to do with how you enter the thread.

if you click the thread title on the "last post in this forum" section it will show the last post.

if you click the thread title from the forum main page it should not...?

i get it sometimes on most forums and thought that was why but never really thought deep enough about it to test it all out

edit:

yer just tested it out.

enter "Site support section" and click the thread title, you stay at top of page.

but if you are at board index, and see the thread title as the last post in that section and click the thread title it takes you to the bottom of the page...

Does it to me too, also any new windows I open while still in the current one, the page always jumps to it when its finished loading. If that makes sense??

The version of the forum software is RC1, meaning there were a number of bugs still in the software.
its now upto RC4 so a fairly large amount of bugs have been fixed, I'm not going to implement the forum to the latest version until a final release is done.
Hopefully a number of these issues will be resolved then, but i'll let u guys know how it goes when it happens :)
