Because clear taillights on falcons are look shithouse. I know your probably 16 and have no cash but that does not mean you have to do mods that are cheap and tacky.

Save your pennies and do shit that wont get laughed at by people who you dont know.

as said dont get clear taillights.
especially the ones they make for ea-ed they are shithouse.
but if you do dont take any critisism off these forums as personal attack. but 99% of people on here dont like rice including clear taillights, neons, and stickers on bonnet n doors n shit :P

how old are ya mate?
got a job?

to start with just lower it. chuck some rims on and an exhaust.
and get to work on makin it quick :D depends what your aim with the car is really tho.

Clear tail lights dont suit anything let alone falcons.

How much are clear tail lights anyway? You should buy another EA instead.

Fair enough, it's his car, he can do what he wants with it. No one is going to stop him from doing anything, but there will be a lot of advice given about what will work, and what won't.

The general consensus is clear taillights look shit. If you put them on, you will most likely get sick of them pretty quickly. I will admit... I had clearies on my EL a while ago... got sick of them, put the stockies back on.

Criticising would be giving him shit after he puts clear taillights on his EA. Helping is telling him not to do it before he buys them thus saving him money and the humiliation of having cheap arse homosexual clear taillights on his EA.

Multipoint should be first mod, rather than clear tail lights IMO...
Buying clear lights is just wasting your money, you can just about buy another EA for the price of them lights... there are better things you can do with your money.
I think you should be saving your money for a new car, EA's are getting pretty old... not really worth wasteing money on... they are good for a first car... I've got an EA and have owned it since 2 years after it was made, it was very reliable and had no major problems and never broke down... loved the car at the time, but bought an EF with XR suspension a couple of years ago and couldnt beleive how much of a difference there was between them...it felt years ahead in quality...

well they are years ahead of the ea so of course the quality would 'feel' like it would be improved... otherwise itd just be like the holdens with just bout all of them being the same

i have an early 94 model ed and a late 94 model ef and it still feels like years and years difference :P

i love how it was pretty civilised then some random gets on his high horse about not giving the guy shit and it went worse :D

honestly these days i tell people not to mod their cars untill ya get a nice newer car
but then again i did the exact same thing when i got my car. its a waste of money but is fun at the time. (mods not clear taillights)

cars especially old ones are a waste of money to mod. but hey only other thing to do is save for a house. **** that.

Another vote for no clear tail lights, neons, or any other poor-taste "mods".

White bumpers or an SVO two-tone style would improve the appearance of your GL, or throwing a Ghia garnish on the back.

Other cosmetic changes could include a Ghia or XR interior (seats, centre console, doortrims).

The Multipoint conversion (& maybe a regrind cam) would be cheap performance mods to do, plus a cheap catback system (or 2nd-hand extractors)

Please, do not rice your falcon :(

White bumpers - cheaper
2 tone - will look better again, but cost more.

Idea - buy things that are compatible with an EF/EL. (even ED). eg extractors, exhaust, springs, shocks, cam.
Then, when you decide fk this, this car really is a POS, you can put all the goodstuff into the newer car. Win.

You can get 2nd hand catbacks for the same price as qweer Fail-lights.
2nd hand extractors - <200 - easy. I've seen heaps go on forums for $150.
Springs - $250 max Brand New - about a 100 2nd hand.

Shit, now you car goes faster, looks better, and thats after what, less than $350 - easy.
MPFI is a cheap conversion as well, and dont get rims, waste of a lot of money. You get them when you have nothing left to do. Gloss black EF stockies = win.
