i've never done it, but there shouldnt be any problems extending the wire, just do it properly, ie solder, heatshrink, etc.. nothing more of a headfck than dodgy ignition system..

Just make sure that the core of the wire is the same size and the sheath is similar too. If done properly there won't be a problem. Although I am curious where you are going to move it to?

I would NOT put it on top of the engine, front right seems like a good spot. Why cant you put it on the < left shocker tower? Run the wiring round the back of the motor?

Or mount it on the firewall on the left side? near the brake booster. I think thatd be neater than my previous post.

Because you don't want a coil lead 2 metres bloody long! You want it as short as possible..I don't know why you want to move it really....

I suppose, but how much added resistance would there be? Would it even make an impact?

From whats iv been told if u have a long coil lead it will be shit, I got a extended sized coil lead ,but yeh ill see how it goes. And the reason im moving the coil from were it is , is because its in a stupid place not all of us can move the manifold as we please.. So im going to move it most likely on the firewall somewere ,
