I was glad to see the cooler piping fixed from BA/BF, it now goes from the turbo side through the intercooler and to the throttle body on the passenger side. Instead of doubling back all over the place. BI6TIM questioned why they didn't just swap the battery and the airbox, and rightly so... it would be much better. It was nice to spot sequential injection too. The gearbox is smooth as silk and the clutch is effortless. I want that clutch feel in my AIT!
Also what is that funnel shaped bit right on the inlet of the turbo? I thought it might be a pod filter or something, but surely there is a filter in the airbox on the passenger side. I don't know!
But the biggest observation was the drivers seatingposition. It seems too high and the steering wheel won't go as high as I would like. I had to move the seat further back than I like just so that I didn't feel cramped and then I didn't feel right on the pedals. BI6TIM said the same thing so it's not just me, he also said that the standard XR6 seemed better in this respect. It's strange and a bit disappointing.
Anyway here are the pics, everything is pretty explanatory just click on the images for a larger version, then click again for the full res version.
PS: I love the traction control button AKA "skid button". There's a shot of it halfway through these images.
