stickless green

Postby CaRtZ » July 3rd, 2008, 5:38 pm

God damn stupid green p-plates! as if it wasnt annoying enough that i had to change to green p-plates, NOW THE FKERS WONT STICK! i knew i hated static plates and now i remember why.

i soaked them in soapy water for a few minutes and put them on the EF monday night, took them off this morning and put em on the FG at work, took them off the work car this arvo and now they wont stick again! GRR!!! now i have to go get new ones before work in the morning (that is if anyone sells them yet) where i will probably be pulled over for the first time in a number of months and no doubt i will get the cop who has had a crap week and hates 'hoons' n will fine me!

why give us something that we are just gunna have to replace in the near future anyway?! stupid government appointed VicRoads, cheap friggen p-plates that will cost me like $5 every week

Rant off ;)

so has anyone seen the greens for sale anywhere?
has anyone seen regular ones? (not static obviously, but not magnets as i have to drive new cars and customers cars)

I used to have the static plates. I found the best way to make them stick was to wet them, then stick it to the windscreen like that. I didn't use soap or anything, just water.

I did what Dezza did, wet them first. Once there on they wont move at all :)

Slightly OT, is it just me or do the green P's stand out so much more now? I also LOL in the car when I see a red P-Plater, spewing for them :)

i saw 2 cars today with the old style red p's on..... clearly unwise as to wtf is goin on

i think the greens r standing out more coz every set in the state is brand new. and its different to see green instead of red, wont even notice after a few months

Sorry for laughing guys, but QLD's a bit slow, they only brought in P's after every other state Im pretty sure and I got in a month before the legislation came in July 07. Im 18, and my rear window has no silly P for Prick or P for Pullover (Narrh! Dont really mean that). Its great cause most of me mates have to wear P's and Im off the hook.

I hate the static type Ps, stupid things. Once they're on they are ok but if you gotta take em off and out em back up they're a pain in the ass

They arent illegal. Green P platers have it easier than Red P platers...eg: more passengers etc.
Vicroads are the only ppl who have the greens from what I understand.
This is only so a Red P plater cant go and buy a GREEN plate.

*insert sarcasim* having 2 different types of P plates makes the roads SO much safer. *end of sarcasim*

i went to 4 servos this morning, none of which could supply green p plates of any description nor tell me when they are coming in, went to the all powerful VicRoads at lunch "oh yeah your about the 5th person today, we only have static ones, try the spares joint around the corner".... spares shop "mate i only have static ones until tuesday week after next, they have to come from queensland"

so i have decided to glue to greens to my old reds then laminate them and cut out the hole
