Meh V8SC is fucking boring as. The thing that gets me is that it has absolutely NO relevance to cars actually built by the manufacturers.

I bet your average lazy-eyed VB-drinking VN-driving mullet-haircut bogan wouldn't know or care about that though.

First dropping the i6, then this. I must say I'm worried about the path Ford is taking. Now how long before they make the Falcon FWD?

He wont call it quits completely just yet. The way I see it - If you cant make enough profits to keep your business afloat without handouts then you dont deserve to be in business.

maybe if hed used a better driver than his son for the past however many years he might have actually won something and had better sponsors after shell left, then he might not have to rely so heavily on fords funding, rather than deciding it would be fun to sponsor his cars with his own companies then going down the shitter

He didn't have a choice regarding running his own sponsorship. Westpoint went bankrupt and DJR didn't get paid a lot of money. Dick has always been handy with the rulebook, and engineering the best out of things. Tru-Blu, Greens-Tuf, the Sierras, the 94 EB were all built better than anyone elses Ford. I think with the (over?)regulation of V8SC today, like every other team, he's struggling against the $8million teams.

I honestly don't think the Falcon will ever be FWD, the 'FWD FTW' phase with car companies has died out with larger cars, look at the US, most of their larger cars are returning to RWD, or going 4WD.

I think it will be a case of export or die within 5 years. Hopefully the Australian-built Focus brings in the much needed dollars.

Bad move by Ford IMO, 888 dont really care what they run, to lose them would hurt Ford pretty bad. Johnson will always be a Ford man, this kinda gives him back his underdog status, nothing will please him more than beating the factory team.

Also, SBR will be trading under a new name next year, Ford Dealer Team or FPV Dealer Team, hence those 2 teams being chosen.

Calm down people, Ford need to make cuts, Ol dicky will survive (its not like he has done it though before), and ford is still behind SBR and FPV, and most ford teams use SBR engines, and ford is still helping out with technical details and suppling body shells.

The way i see it is ford is think to its future in australia.

+1 to them.

It does suck like going back to the days when ford axed the V8.I am surprised Dick is still alive after all the stress he has had over these past years especailly when he lost all that money with Westpoint he had to sell all his prized race cars to get him out of red.Maybe Dick Johnson racing should have pulled out when Dick retired he would be better off know.

as said business is business. however the business decisions ford have been making over the last 2 yrs or so are somewhat questionable IMO.
yeah it sucks but this is what they need to do to keep thier head above water. the way i see. Ford will be Daewoo status in the next 30yrs IF they keep up thier current trend
