1 year of BoostedFalcon.net

Postby Sunboost » July 4th, 2008, 11:10 am

Ey,

Thought I might point out that on the 13th of July it will be one year since this new forum opened up.

Yay for us, should do something to commemorate it or whatever lol?

Well, the Glenmaggie camp is happening on the 13th... maybe a group photo or something there?

We've come a long way in one year on here!

Get all of the active members, bring the cars and have then all rowed up, and get a top shot with all of the members in front of the cars (not individual, a group photo but have the cars behind.

an organised group photo shoot would be good.
we can get 25+ cars to a mini, 40+ cars to a proper cruise.
a decent shot of all the cars in 1 would be fantastic.

All cars in 1 pic would need to be kind of semi circular (fanning out) or in some kind of grid array. At GOR 2004 I got a photo of all the cars parked in a line (well, the cars that were on the beach side of the reserve/carpark, not the ones on the road side) and there was no detail at all, just a long line of nondescript cars, as I had to walk out a long way to fit all the 50ish cars into the frame.

It would need to be a semi-overhead shot looking down/over all the cars I reckon. Either by utilising an existing structure at the chosen photoshoot location, or by bringing a ladder/platform for the photographer (hopefully Alex) to shoot from.

car parked in circle means need a wide angle shot
you want to try and keep it tight.

perhaps a seperate thread for organising a photoshoot is in order.

this is more about a milestone! :D

Is anyone familiar with the panoramic shots that some cameras can do? They are awesome. Kinda like a wide angle shot of around 290* or something of all the better looking e-series would be cool as. My camera can do it so I'd be happy to take some snaps
Photo album? :P

You mean this one?

This was another great shot too.

And then we had this on the 2005 Sorrento Cruise. It wasn't a big turnout, but it would be a great spot for a big aerial shot

Scotty got rid of his EA after painting it orange.
Shaun's CFi is now a Turbo
John's car is now white

So there's been plenty of changes since

Well done guys, when I first googled ford when my engine crapped this came up and thought it had been on for years especially seeing Commando's posts!

Top job and great bunch of helpful blokes, got alot out of it and sure will be plenty more!

A good shot could be the lower car park at Portsea Back Beach with some-one on the top carpark taking shots. Could fit every-one in that lower car park too. Be easy to block off lower carpark as there is another 3 carpark that the public can go to! A thought?!?!
