Was well fun, but would have been nice if it lasted a bit longer (that's what she said!), shitty Sava tyres!
Glad the pos puts on a decent show, though I probably need a bit more practice if I am to be up to competition level! I'd love to grab the one your brother took on the good camera. No youtube though! I'll have to bring a usb stick or something next time I swing past.

Although I seem to remember my little brother getting a stock cat back for his AUII Futura from Ford for less than $400, so I guess it depends on the part. Kinda wish I kept the one that was on the car when I bought it now. Might go see my exhaust bloke and see what he has on his scrap pile!
So thought **** that

Very patient man, he even did a bit of chasing up for me earlier this week when I was misled with incorrect information. It’s just down to money now really, which is looking like at least another $4k even if it all passes first go. Like I said, all money that can be spent on better cogs!

How hard would it be to convert this thing to an automatic? Especially as this is a factory manual? I assume I would need to change the ECU to an auto item, but what about the hardware? Never being auto, would I be missing things like oil lines and speedo sensors and the like? The reason I am even considering this, is that I would imagine it would be much cheaper than a TKO/T56 but still be stronger than the T5. Would that be a fair assumption? Plus, it would make for a much nicer work hack as well!

its so easy to bake the tyres with a bit of power + auto.
Anyway, after this, I have decided to make a change and am hoping to move away from IT all together. I have actually put in an application at my best mates work, for a Diesel Mechanic apprenticeship, because why the fvck not! I have spent all my money on cars all my life, so why not get paid to do it instead. Plus, it will be awesome to learn how to do a lot more mechanical work myself! I know I will be taking a fair pay cut, but I am over jumping from job to job because I am obviously not fit for IT support. Just wish it didn’t take me so long to realise it.
