Yeah those are his skid marks, obviously planted it as he tried over taking me (in a suburban street) and realised i was turning...

Thats what i kept saying to them but they wouldn't have a bar of it. They company of the guy that hit me admitted fault and also the police issued fines relating to the situation, but the RACV was making me pay until they received the money.
A few years back a guy bumped into my fairlane damadging the front bar, Insurance took the car and sprayed it (Australian Accident Repair Centre) charged me..and said you will have to pay until the guy goes (he finally did though)

Yeah I know doors arent expensive, its jsut a pain in the arse, having to hunt around, find a door rip it off...put it back on mine (and might have to pay for it myself) even when I was totally NOT in the wrong,
but your right insurance companies are a pain to deal with, I might just send him a bill for $300 for a new door if hes not happy with that, then he can pay $500+ to get it panel beated and sprayed (which is how its normally done)
