it comes down to tyres, with my shiftkitted auto i can chirp any corner, but hard to on a straight being LSD and the weight of a stereo fitted fairlane, but with the spare tyres i have here on other rims i can chirp and kick the ass end out in the dry in a straight line, in the wet i can press the brake and the acceleartor and light up both back wheels, but throw the goodyear regattas back on and i struggle to spin them in the wet!!!!

and as i have prooven cheap tyres can also grip better then expensive ones (isnt that true ryan lol)

I think in this case we are defining chrip as "on the brake trying to do a standstill and I can get one chirp".
I find it pretty hard to believe that any of the cars mentioned above are getting a decent chirp into any gear on anything other then sealed indoor carpark concrete.

with ba's when u use the tiptronic if u back off just before ur gonna change then nail it a split second before u change it will often chirp as it confuses it to raising the line pressure i reckon.

ive done it a few tiems now..
also rolling along at like 50 or 60 on a slippery road(dry) just put it into 1 and slam the throttle and i get a chirp as it accelerates... not sure if its compression lockup or wheels spinning due to the sudden increase in torque (at about 4k in 1st) in the wet do the same it just skates out change to 2nd it keeps skating but speedo reads 140 and i poo a little.

my manual ed chiped 2nd easy as and use to just chirp third if u got the gear changes right and it was prety std.

My car chirps when I use the remote.

Anyway, how'd you go with finding some paint for the scratch Kyle?

Just an update, after a bit of R&D, I may have another interior mod lined up for the car, it's going to be a lot of work but I don't wanna say what it is yet, just in case it's a huge disaster. I will post pics when I feel confident everything will work out :P. I'll leave a hint, it's newer and looks cooler. Probably gave it away but meh :P.

haha, nah guys John is pretty well on the money, I am getting ready to do an EL Dash covnersion, Kev isn't doing it, i'm going to do it. After some R&D, learning a few things of Kev, and inspiration from NWOLB. once I get all of the parts it's pretty well getting done, im going to go the the full extent of possibly putting in NL Seats.

Just gotta find a set of NL Seats, a welder, and an EL Floor :P.

lol, here is a pic
Image

Trip computer, Glove Box, Center console, Cluster Surround and radio surround(not in pic) are courtesy of Ford_Racing_8. lukeh and ruleford.

I Got hold of a DL LTD BEM and dash loom (yes i know their the same as NL but meh :P), They sold it to me cheap because the cluster and trip computer looms were chopped out, i had the cluster cables from when I had my NL Cluster in the ED. I have nearly finished resurrecting this loom but not quite there yet.

We went the other way in kristy's car.. put the ED Ghia seats in the EL.
EF/EL Dash/Door trims with ED Ghia seats is about the best factory combo you'll get.

as for the AU/BA/FG dash, anything can go in with enough cutting.
its been done before!
