BF F6 vs GT-P

Postby bng » June 15th, 2009, 6:31 pm

Just curious about which you would buy??? All the hype is about the F6 but what ever happened to its bigger brother, the GT-P?
In my opinion id take the F6 but still have a soft spot for the GT-P, due to the fact its an 8

cheers

Depends what you want, I've always preferred the F6. I've driven examples of both..

if u wanna make it really fast for reasonably cheap... F6
if you want something that has it all, but will cost more to go fast, GTP

GTP interior flogs the rest.

theres no doubt the F6 is the smarter choice,, but if it was my coin it would be a hard decision, 300ish kw's would be plenty for me, so mods would be minor, which is one big advantage of the F6, but i love the sound of a V8, and when you look at the GT-P by itself, its still a damn fine car, its just that its little brother has bigger balls, and is still growing lol.

i know, the f6 is quicker and uses less fuel, and is easier to get more stonk, and if i wanted to build something for drags or similar then that would be my choice, but the whole emotion thing would push me into a V8 for any other use.

and if you take resale into account the GT-P has it all over the F6. that GT badge still has some worth.

id probably go GT-P in the end, but it wouldnt be an easy choice.

mind you if Anna Bligh keeps raping the rego costs it might be a moot point, cos noone but the rich wil be able to afford to register the damn things.

id go gt-p.

sure the f6 is quicker.... but its a taxi with a turbo..... simple as that.

gt-p gets 6/4 brembos and quad exhaust tips!!!

having said that, id way prefer a VE GTS over anything ford AUS are currently selling...

Id go the Holden VE HSV sports wagon... Im in love with these things at the moment. And they are really nice to drive. The interior is a bit too plastic for my liking though.

oh were talking about fords.

F6 anyday. If you buy a Ford you buy the 6 turbos... If you buy a Holden get the freaking V8!

The GT's are way too overated. Trust me i get to drive every freaking ford everyday.

I chose the GT-P.

Nothing beats the sound of a V8 with a kick ass exhaust on it. I'm not interested so much on power, it's getting harder and harder to use it on the street anyway.

VEs are fucking hopeless.

#1 thing you need to do to drive a car properly is see out of the fucker, and VEs have less visibility than a submarine periscope.

Maloo is the worst - you see more attempting to peer into a letterbox from the other side of the street!

Look at your car. Now back to mine. Now back to yours. Now back to mine. Sadly, yours isn't mine. But if you stopped buying dodgy cars and bought an ED, yours could be like mine. Look down. Back up. Where are you? ...You're on BoostedFalcon, reading the signature your signature could be like! Anything is possible when your car looks like my car... I'm on a computer.

Ford = F6 all the way :drinks2:
Holden = HDT SS with the supercharged 7.0. Ditch the wheels and stripes straight away tho.... http://forum.streetcommodores.com.au/sh ... ?p=1961089

HDT has just done their first supercharged 7.0 option and put it on the dyno in Mackay and it made 800hp iirc, my dads best mate (brother to Peter Champion) has driven it and said its just spastic, controllable but 200kph just comes and goes...
