number 1 classic car

Postby holmsy » October 4th, 2009, 5:28 am

5.30 in the morning just finished watching "Love the beast"
and i have been thinking especially over the last few weeks.
what classic car i really want to do up and keep essentially for ever.
iv always wanted a classic. orginally i wanted an xy/xw gt but kind of got over that when i found there is so many mock up gt's around. i wanted something a bit less common.
then thought of an XT mainly beacause my dads first car was an XT i thought it would be good to have that sort of history of his first car and me having the same.
and these days have been thinking something like a zc fairlane.

my mind has changed alot but i am really getting keen to decide on a car to spend my money on and not compromise on anything. everything done right. no cheap shit. no ebay branded shit. most of all. no grease or oil outside where it belongs

just thought i would see what everyone else would get if they wer to get a car to keep for ever and spend their hard earned cash on.

lol true that

But I'd like an XA-XC GT (or in the XC case Cobra) coupe. They look so tough!

oh lol.... some people here might masturbate over a FR19 or Driftek, but on an XY would look completely shithouse. Maybe the only time in history where i reckon a 14" rim looks best on a car.......

Maybe you don't frequent other forums anymore? FR19's on X-Series has been done 11ty bajillion times. They are a timeless design that suit almost any car. XW/Y + FR's = WIN, EA-L + FR's = WIN, AU-BF + FR's = WIN. FR's are a fukken sexual wheel that just work on almost everything.

Old school mustang for sure, but all the pushrods, carby, drum brakes and old school mechanicals would go in the bin for full modern motor, driveline, brakes and suspension and of course a kenne bell supercharger.

But I only say an old school mustang because this thread is about classic cars. Otherwise it would be an 2005 onwards mustang, black with all the upgraded bits I could get and of course a kenne bell. The best looking cars in the world ever, period.

lol, XW GT with an LS1 conversion would probably be worse!

For me, E49 Hemi 6 pack is the only option! 265 with tripple side draft webbers, four on the flour, Hemi orange of course with original 6 pack decals.
