it runs! very well too ive got to admit.
went up to mum and dads with one goal in mind was to have the eb running well enough to drive.
went up there and had to fit the manifolds only have to take the extractors back off due to a stupid oversight of mine.
with the original eb motor. i got away with using the standard bolts for the extractors.
for some reason the au motor these bottomed out so i had to waste half a day to go into ballarat to get some shorter ones.. got the extractors back on.
then fitted the clutch. dad sourced another friction plate for me as the rear main failed on the last motor and fucked the friction plate.
cleaned everything up with a few cans of brake clean to make sure all the oil was gone.
got the trans back in. tailshaft and the 2nd half of the extractors. then refilled the trans again lol.
then got to work fitting the serpintine setup.
i originally wasnt going to go serp. but as my alternator and power steering pump were pretty stuffed. considering i sourced everything cheap i decided to go to it afterall.
got the wiring sorted for the alt as the eb had a different plug which i had to change so i could fit the au alt
then got the rest of the serp stuff on.
put the inlet manifold back on and all the associated wiring.. and put the hoses and the el radiator in with the thermos.
then fitted the dizzy.
got it to start on petrol to find i got the timing out by a few teeth. so the dizzy came out and i got it right the second time lol.
hooked up the gas stuff and set the base timing properly when the motor had warmed up a little.
i got it around standard atm.. but hell i wasnt going all out considering i havent touched the gas so that can be played with when its retuned properly
took it for a spin..
im very happy with the motor. goes really good.
and it hasnt skipped a beat at all.
but now ive bored everyone with me writing i'll post some piccys

in its current finished state.. i have to wash it still lol

just a quick note on the old motor..
when i was pulling the old motor out. i had oil in the intake. more than there should of been
so it appears i had some blowby happening..
motor felt pretty gutless too.
also i have fresh coolant marks down the block so i warped the head and blew the head gasket by the looks of it.
but i'll get around to dismantling it to see what broke as something is broken due to chunks of metal coming out with the oil..
