Re: NCF-302

Postby jazza312 » November 30th, 2010, 5:49 pm

haha pay your own transport...

i've had the last 2 days off work and been to a few car yards to look at some cars, mainly au ltd's, ba fairlanes, au and ba xr8's and none of them were that great... i know my car in the end is only a shitty old fairlane but when i got back into it i felt its the only one i was satisfied with. lol weird as.
so in other words, i think im hanging onto this old girl for a while yet...

so in deciding i'm gunna keep it for a while i went to a couple of exhaust joints and priced up pacey extractors, high flow steel cats (exhaust joint told me best available), and 3 inch mandrel bent exhaust.
one joint quoted me $2130 and the other, $2000.
now this seams a bit expansive to me so i wanna know what other peoples ideas are and if there are any other alternatives to this set up...
or does anyone have a full system for sale in good nic?

cheers - jarrod

i took a ba xr8 for a drive today. was a 4 speed and compared to the bf i bought (a 6 speed auto) it didnt seem much chop. it didnt sit on the road as nice or go as well and the steering felt a bit sloppy compared to the bf and just seemed dodgey in general. i dont know too much about b series' tho. that particuar one may have just been a lemon.

yeah, the one im looking at is a '03 manual, so im not getting too excited, that and the fact its massively overpriced even though its low kms and mint, dosnt seem to have any options other than leather, so yeah, we will see how negotiable they are.

Fark I hate that, Ford dealers are the worst for it - you gotta wonder how many sales they lose like that.

this poor old nc is all back to original now :(

i have the ultra low springs and shortened struts for sale. they probably only ever traveled about 20,000 km's tops. if anyone is interested, make a reasonable offer.
i also have the momo woodgrain steering wheel for sale if someone offers the right price (wont be letting it go cheaply)

the car is potentially sold, but if the sale falls through, the car is for sale at 4,000 bucks. that's with a roady and 11 months rego. just got serviced today and is running a treat.
