Ok, I actually have something serious to ask this time. I disconnected the battery from the car last weekend for about half an hour, as I needed to take the air bag off to fix the cruise control buttons. Anyway, ever since then, the stupid factory option alarm has been going off its head! If anyone so much as brushes past the car now, it freaks out! Even loud exhausts are setting it off!
The problem is, I never got given the key that turns the system off, and Ford don’t have them anymore as it’s listed obsolete. So what the hell do I do now? I was close to just up and cutting the wires that go to the siren, but am afraid this will immobilize the engine. Is this true, or can I just snip the sob off? Anyone know anything about this at all?
Edit: Never mind, AFF to the rescue!
