worth its money in gold.

Not many people use it.

Infact, i dont know anyone who uses it in a regular street car. They have their down side of noises and ticks that they do and a bit fidjity.

But then again, awesome for keeping power to the ground!

there are people around who use them.
They are more of a drag setup, like my msd boost controller, difference is the msd numbers corrospond with real life.

however I don't run boost as high as you do :P

The AMS is said to be awesome especially on co2 and high boost

haha :)
I agree 24 psi is lowish by today's standards, but I am still old school, where I think it is high !
I saw a BA crap itself on a launch once think it was 30 psi on launch !

Have fun. :)

car made an appearance last week on the hwy after a few weeks sorting out this dead ecu (injector driver). Runs like a charm. A bit of fuel also has been trimmed out of the tune now allowing me to get 250km a full tank with a few red lines! yay! lol. Cruising around on 18.8lt per 100km. Better then 28lt! lol. Seems Thurs, Fri and Sunday nights are now the way to go for the HWY.

Will come out again over the week on the hwy. Raised the front so its legal all around. not as sexi but o well :) Rear is dumped it rattles. Will raise it a bit so the CVs dont cop it as harsh.

Still all over the road with the ETs. Usually cruise around with the AMS not armed so im only running about 340rwkw on 13psi.

Still about 2 weeks away from the auto builders to have the powerglide internals made to be fitted in the 4sp BTR.

Then ill visit heathcote.

misk:

"What Phil is attempting to do is machine the c1 drum and with some custom wizardry put in a powerglide hub, and powerglide frictions.

The goal of this is to fit 7 or 8 frictions, over the original 5 (or 6), which already have a larger surface area than the normal BTR.
Result being approx 40% more capacity, and it will tollerate slippage more (like a ZF does in comparison)
Downside .... I can see a snapped intermediate shaft in the near future..."

mr_4.0: Complete stock rear end bar coilovers. No vibrations etc. Have had to rebuild the diff (due to whine) about 6 months ago. Preston auto's redid it. Bar that, never had any issues on street/track with it.

icer is that only to benefit gear changes?
ie. to allow for smoother gear changes with high power, or overall strength/life of the drum itself?

i know cars running 18+ on 98 ron so with e85 which burns 30% more fuel usage than normal petrol, im happy with 250km!

Misk, all i want is the box to be stronger. Rest is all bonuses. Shift already is hard, smooth and fast. Flares a little from 2nd to 3rd under WOT at ~6400rpm but very minimal. Hopefully that is sorted too.

Can't see any reason why not.

That doesn't make sense, how can it be 18.8 if you're getting 250kms to a tank, that's over 25L per 100km.

your right. is it a 68l tank? sounds like its still doing around 25. can't trust what the dash says.

i can only give you info on what the dash says.

Mind you i havnt driven it long (maybe few days) with the new 'trimmed up' tune with the new ecu. Either way i use to get 200-210km a full tank. now im on about 250ish.

mr. cve ill prob go before then. If i do manage to run a 9, well then i wont be allowed back for ford nationals. But as if i will right? :)

Also:

spotted headsex behind me ;)

What happens if the cops ever get hold of it and it says you've been doing 200kmh? lol :)

Pretty cool bit of gear.

lol they would need a warrant to get it, else all evidence is voided. Not to mention you need to be doing illegal things to get caught anyway :)

ClassicAU...maybe thats one of the advantages :P

Got work to pay for one as i said we could use these in the work cars. Great idea they said. So....waiting on one :) WIN.

as a truck driver i can tell you that you would be suprised what they can do during a search and yes they can turn it on and see whats recorded, same as a mobile phone they can see your call history (as to prove you were using it and thats why they pullede you up) the only time they cant check whats on it is if it is locked via a security code (self incrimination laws that were changed a few months ago allow you to not have to disclose such info). there is any number of different laws they can use to search from the obvious (drugs, weapons) to the lesser (transportation of an endangered species), trust me if they want they can search anything evryone thinks they cant and they need warrents but like i said there is numurus laws that allow stop and searches to happen
