Trying to prove something, two people have done it, so you're still trying to prove it. Wow :this: You love to contradict yourself.

Yesterday the 'record' was stock turbo, then became stock manifold, so why the heck don't you bolt on a gtx yourself. Nothing you say lines up...

Waiting for the reply 'want to be the fastest ba with stock t3 manifold 'and' slightly modified stock turbo.'

no BA with stock manifold has ran a 9. Just 2 FGs.

Not trying to prove them. Trying to beat them. Its my goal.

Have you ported your manifold Icer?

How come you were on and off the throttle for all your runs? Why didn't you hold it pinned to see what mph it can run?!

I bet ya this would run a 9 straight up it had a glide or something.

Have you tried stepping your boost control so it doesn't come on so hard?

christian is low mount, no idea about glouva's. They both ran a 9 once with 1.4x 60's.

Im a nugget driver on the track still. Trying to run 9s with high 1.5/low 1.6's. At least i admit it :P

Not yet parfrey. It came up in conversation few weeks back actually. Also porting the inlet of the manitold. Donno what costs are but probablly cheaper to just get a low mount 6boost!

I was on and off the throttle cause i was wheel spinning and facing the walls and other lane lol

Havnt played around with the AMS boost creep yet NUT. I wanted to but said id leave it till dion has a play around with it when we attend next time.

He said car should launch full steam off 4k rpm with these new shocks.....bloody better!

Jeebus....I know you're dead keen to 'prove' you can run a 9 with a stock manifold (or a low mount turbo, or something) but **** me dead....why would you keep fucking around like this??? Yeah, it's probably possible to do it, but after spending however many hundred dollars porting a stock manifold (which then makes it not stock...so you can't claim 'fastest stock manifold' anything) to maybe sneak in a 9.999999999999999 second quarter, just spend like $1400 (it seems you have the money...) on a 6boost manifold and run 9s all day.

id get a ces himount with a gtx45 next if anything :)

Rollin...isnt that the same as people trying to push as much power out of a NA? Forged bottom ends, porting heads etc?

I could go high mount, but again as i said, EPA/COPS will eat the car up as car is always driven in high risk zones (Prinny hwy). Building the car to look stockish and run 9s. Right mods combo is all thats needed....with the right driver lol.

I couldn't say about the guys spending shitloads on NA stuff, OED666 and I had some good success years ago with dollars spent VS quarter mile times, but I wanted the best fasts for my dollars so I put a turbo on.

If your plan is to run 9s in a car that the cops think is pretty stock, then that's a worthy goal, and one you'd cop less shit for than trying to claim 'fastest whatever bullshit made-up category'. It gives you more freedom to mess with stuff without having people argue the imaginary category you're claiming, or tell you you're wasting your time.

Just for fucks sake try and get your goals straight, and stop claiming its for 'hwy' only, or street only, or 400m only, or stock turbo drag only, or stock manifold drag only, or bloody whatever.

yep. 10.58 @ 140.41. Rolled over the line as cooler pipe came off about 350m in as i shit myself. Fixed pipe as it actually had no issues launching on 3400/3500 so was finally gonna do a 4k launch but nooooo.... had to rain. Wont be doing any 1.4's at heathcote. Maybe a mid/high 1.5. Multiple 140+ passes...thought id get kicked out (??)

anyway power and mph is all there, go again in 2 weeks, car still going strong after consecutive drag meets :D

Will go wreckers get some stock springs and shocks in the ass as i still got the SSLs.

Got the 90/10s in the front now. 2.00 to 1.69...not bad on a weak launch!

Pretty wrapped i rolled over for 140.41mph!

Right lane?

Definitely try some stock springs and shocks in the rear. You have nothing to lose.

Can you post up the time slip of the 10.58 run please. Would love to see the progressive numbers down the strip.

Can also sort you out with standard rear springs and shocks cheap if you need.

Yeah interested to see your split times. Who drive today? Do you launch off a certain PSI or at a certain revs?

When I raced, I didn't look at revs, only boost. I can build 15psi on the brake in mine. But my old intercooler meant that 10psi-15psi launches were exactly the same 60ft time.

i thought id get plenty more runs. only like 20 cars there. But we got there late and rained.

I drove it all runs. I was just going of revs. Just seeing how much i could go before was too much...but didnt get enough cracks at the 60's.

Good stuff icer. 140 is moving. I watch the boost gauge, as your boost and revs aren't always the same. Bring it up to 3500 might be 16psi, next time it stall it up to 3500 quicker, might only be 12.

Not a bad effort but dunno if its going to get you a 9 even with a good 60'.

What do you mean by 'won't be doing any 1.4's at heathcote'? if you launched without issue's surely you can go harder. I did a few 1.5's in my EF with 200kw less than you lol (at heathcote too).

Launching off boost +rpm seems like a good idea too..

The .1 off the 60 did not equal .2 off his ET so the timing boards must have been out of whack.

its like talking to a brick wall for a few users.

Reason why the car ran a 10.58 was because

...and let me put some spaces and colours for the retards.

THE COOLER PIPE CAME OFF THE CAR AT ABOUT 350M DOWN THE TRACK. To explain it a bit more, there was ~50m of the track that i had 0 boost and was on about what, 130rwkw for 50m of the run so i basically rolled over the line from 350 onwards. Even with the roll over, i still had 34.14mph from 660' to the end and ROLLED over when i got 10.58.

Im tempted to put up a pic of a cooler pipe coming off a pipe...

Its like trying to explain something to that ICER guy....37

Right lane is give or take a few MPH on the track. All my runs were on the left. Track and times are fine.

Im happy with that title NUT.

Now im chasing the following titles cause i know the car has it in it:

140MPH Club(tick!), 9 SEC club, Fastest Sedan on ETs, Fastest Low mount, Highest MPH low mount (tick?) im sure i can work out a few more things on the way. Least these are not vague.

Fastest red BA with ETs and lowmount? lol

Orange XF with DOHC has gone 9.4 with 255 MT ET's so maybe forget that record, pretty sure Adam Hargrave was running a low mount and he went 144MPH.
