91ks in a 60 zone but he did me for 78 instead coz it was my first offence
220 bucks and 3 demerit points...
Wondering, how long does it take usually for the big police envelope to arrive in the mail trying to keep this one away from the parents
Also, I sped for about 3 seconds while overtaking a car Would like to hear stories of other ppls experiences of speeding fines and how u got done, how fast u were going etc etc.
depends were u are in nsw i know u have 21 days till u get your first warning unless u lost your license or didnt get an on the spot fine u should be able to pay it in the first 21 days and not get a letter
ive been done twice both were exactly a week apart to the hour lol
first was doing 74 in a 60 came over the crest and there he was on the side of the road lol was just headin to maccas for a feed gosh...

yeh snr constable who gives a shit got me, spose he coulda been a prick and taken my license, but at the same time i didn't give him any excuse to not book me, he had to ask me if my current address was on my license twice coz i was too busy fucking around with the head unit
**** its so hard not to tho, drove my mate out to richmond tonight after getting the fine coz he wanted to look at an old jag, was so hard not to give it a run on the freeway
I think when you pay it you'll get a confirmation letter in the mail saying you have lost such and such demerit points and some other stuff, cant remember exactly, i know i got something in the mail after i payed mine.

BULLSHIT!!! Try harder to not be a fuckwit on the road. MIllions of Australians can do it everyday. There is not excuse.
mike1989 wrote:If they wrote the fine out on the spot, will i receive anything in the mail?
Umm in Vic if they write the fine out on the spot they give it to you on the spot. Nothing comes in the mail.
*touch wood* I haven't lost any points or got any fines yet. Had my license just over a year now. Its bound to happen but hopefully I dont lose too many points if I do, being on my Ps. Cant afford to lose my license!
i got done doing 72 in a 60 zone - on p's so lost licence for 6 months and got $90 fine
112 in 80 zone - $217 and 4 points
82 in 60 zone - $150 and 3 points
76 in 60 zone - $150 and 3 points
62 in 50 zone (thought i was in 60 zone) - $120 and 3 points
The last one was my first fine in 12 years and was 4 years ago and i have not been done since

+1
I have zero sympathy for people who get done speeding. There is a time and place. Public roads are not that place.

does that even need to be asked?
im on ps and lost it for 3 months for doin 42kms over (which was an absolute joke - thought it was a 80 zone, justified the extra 20km/h due to 1. no other cars on road (xcept unmarked police car camping behind a fence) 2. a bridge, so no pedestrians on path 3. road as smooth as jessica alba 4. i knew the turns etc so woulkdn't crash. Tell this on aff and its like ww3 the dumb farks... but yeh, i got 609$ fine and auto 3 months, also this pushed my points over the limit so another 3 months.. got 2 and a bit left then im free

i got done for 129 in a 100 zone just after i overtook a b double and a ute, luckily i had started slowing down coz i would have been going 150. i got fined $300 and lost my license for 1 month
When I had the Pulsat ET Turbo I was clocked doing 91km (so they told me) in a 60 zone, when I look back I honestly reckon I did not go that fast.
Been through that same stretch of road a number of times and there is no way I did 91km/h I mean that is fast for that section. I was still young and did'nt know all the facts.
It was downhill and cops were odscured behind trees so was wondering NOW whether that was all legal!?!?
Lost licence for a month, $125 fine and 3 demerit points. Bout ten years ago. What do you do? I know dont speed anyway, but still.
1964 Wolseley 24/80 (classic)
1976 Honda Civic 4 Door X 2(green and orange)
1985 Nissan Pulsar ET Turbo (ace fun car)
1993 Fairmont ED Ghia w 98 EL engine and tranny on GAS. (not sad to see it go)
2004 Falcon XR6 Mk II. Fo-shizzle!
I got nothing as yet... 4+ years of driving but I'd say most of my reckless driving has been as carefully planned as it has been reckless if you know what I mean.
When I was on my P's I would rock up to Industrial estates and pull out the LPG mixer ring, ready to be a warrior and sht then I'd hear a bush move and tell everyone to get back in the car so we could boot coz I thought the cops were spying on me.
It worked out good though, the cops never jumped out of the bushes because I didn't do a skid ey
Also, I know of a few people who've wiggled outta losing their licenses by ditching and dumping points on relatives and unsuspecting foreign friends. Dirty kents. You do the crime YOU do the time

its illegal but i justify it as ok... aha i know that sounds a bit crazy but think about it.. parliament has the ability to make a law on anything they want. i study law and should the government so decide it would be legally, albeit not socially, acceptably to create a law allowing for the killing of all babies with say blue eyes for example. How does this relate to my speeding? Just because something is legally enforceable does not mean that it is socially correct. For me, going 100 over the anzac bridge with no traffic is acceptable - i was in control, knew my car/road, if something did go wrong it was only me to go anyway.
i dont speed in those 60km/h streets with a million driveways, bumps, and trees
without traffic/pedestrians i dont see the big deal. Its pretty much just a big 4 lane each way highway, similar to the one up to newcastle which you can go over 100 with traffic.

First of all, I don't think i came here asking for sympathy, was just asking questions about what happens now after getting the fine etc etc, secondly I admitted doing something wrong and didn't even bother trying to make excuses so I don't really know what you're jumping down my throat about tiga_EL but comments like "suck shit" aren't really needed and just make you look like a dumbass who can't form a proper sentence.
Yeh i realise he was, just don't think comments like that are really needed at all
I looked up about that official warning thing coz it was my first offence but sposed to be under 10ks over the limit to be considered for the warning, and i was 18 over
72 in a 60 zone about 4 years ago. 2 lanes, no-one around, been there 11ty billion times, wasn't trying to go fast, just didn't brake down a slight decline (BTR). It was also just before an 80 zone.
Annoying coz there's been situations where I've thought "I shouldn't have done that", and if I had've been done I wouldn't have minded coz it would've been my own dumbarse fault.
