Tim,

Please tell us why you're here. As I've pointed out in previous posts, you joined, we welcomed you, gave you advice, etc, then you went all hostile/random.

Why? What did we do to offend you?

nothin wrong with a five litre all i see is potential. guess thats where u and me differ. Also being the owner of a hsv 5.7 stroker that would show a clean set of heels to an old 351 clevo anyhow, im not to bothered. this club is supposed to b about bigging up the falcoon.Where is ur sense of humour? posts like this will illicit no more responses from me-waste of time-i go talk tech with people who really know what they talk about he he.what u think people? (nice to b so popular anyhow!)

who do u think has the best stroker kit on the market for the windsor at the mo? Do uthink the cost of alloy heads is worth it? or could working the existing ones be a better option. only want fast cruiser/gt not street machine/trailer bitch(daily driver)

nfi on stroker kits with cost comparisons, none are cheap though & it's more than just a bigger crank & matching rods. LTDHO, LUXO_8 & MEANED are three people off the top of my head who can help you out with stroker questions. Make a thread in the V8 tech section ;)

Cost of alloy heads... well if you only want a fast cruiser/etc, then no, not worth it. Some cheap GT40Ps would be up to the task. Don't bother porting your E7s.

i agree there is nuthing wrong with the 5ltr but when it is only 7kw more than my standard engine whats the point of having it?

now about the 351 wanna make a wager on that?? (figuratively speaking as i am so broke i cant afford to pay attention)

wolf, some 351c falcons came out with 18kw less than your 4.0 from factory (141kw). Factory figures mean nothing, sif bother comparing dick sizes with standard power figures.

not comparing anything just stating the 5ltr could have been a awesome motor.

meh i am just a bit old school that way i find it hard to see why they went from a awesome v8 to a mediocre one.

the 351c mighta been less than my 4.0 but it was more the the crossflows. my crappy point is it took them tilll the ba to start getting decent power over the i6's.

easy. The Clevo was discontinued. The modular was yet to be released. Which meant we got the 5.0 :) It's done OK over the years, and it held its own against the 304, it only lagged behind when the LS1 was released.

Pity we didn't get the 351w, but it initially didn't go in due to cooling issues (look up info on the EA GT for this). Also it's a shame we ended up with the E7/HO combo, we should've gotten what the EB-ELGT & Sprint had as standard, & 351ws for the aforementioned special models.

the original interceptor was a fairly standard 351 with an unplumbed supercharger on top. not a highly modded clevo. u miss the point anyhow, sigh, we move on.....
