this might sound stupid but yeh whats a cam do?
heard it used heaps n shit, think i ahve a basic understanding but no-one's ever gone into detail.
I know a bit about cars just not a heap, reading mags an shit has been a good way to pick some stuff up

If you want something with good mid-range all-rounder power, there'll be a few cams to suit you here. If you want something with a lumpy as fark idle, there'll be other cams to suit. If you want something to suit a custom turbo setup, LPG, nitrous, etc etc etc, there's all kinds out there.
Figure out what you want from your car/how you want it to behave. Then a) do some research on finding the right cam profile for your needs, and/or b) contact performance businesses who specialise in camshafts (ie wade, crow, etc), tell them what you're after, and they'll recommend particular camshafts to suit your needs.

ed4ltr wrote:haha, yeah be carefull what you do to the rear! mines all professionally lowered(or so i was told when i bought it) but its a tad too soft, so when i have a full car load the tailshaft actually hits the bottom of the car over bumps, thats one reason im thankful for these passenger restrictions!
so now i have to get the tailshaft rebalananced and what not and also put something a little stiffer in the rear
