Ford Falcon Facts
Another V8 engine was available in the ZC Fairlane, the enormous 351 5.8L V8. This powerplant joined the 3.6L six and the 302 V8.
ZC Fairlane(1969 - 1970)
Styling was further refined, and the tail lights were changed. The headlights had gone from the twin horizontal headlights of the ZA to ZB, to the vertical pairs of the ZC. This change made the car appear much bigger, which was good news for Ford, criticised that the Fairlane was just a stretched Falcon. Adding to the prestige was plenty of chrome plating and red stripe inserts in the tyres.
As before, there was the Custom and the better equipped 500. Air conditioning was introduced as an option, but a radio was still optional on both models.
Ford successfully sound-deadened and insulated the Fairlane, producing a refined and very quiet ride.
